Job Title: Quality Officer

Hours: Permanent, 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £25,000 per annum  (and work from home allowance)

Location: Covering Greater London and The Midlands

We need a person who is passionate about continuously improving and can be fair and honest in reporting the status of services.

 

As a Quality Officer, you will be based in Greater London or the Midlands providing regional checks and support, but also available to perform your work in other parts of the organisation when needed. This role supports the organisation and Quality Team with independent checks in services. This work includes good communication skills, using Radar software, Microsoft Office software and more. This role is integral to ensuring independent checks for services to allow senior managers to make informed decisions and the organisation to respond to risk.

 

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in care or a quality role.
  • Ability to be fair when observing evidence and encouraging managers to learn more and be continuously improving.
  • Good travelling skills, including a driver’s license and access to a vehicle for frequent travel. Overnight stays will be an exception.
  • Ability to use Radar or positive approach to learning new software.
  • Good English writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to present information to small groups of individuals (support will be provided) with confidence.
  • A positive manner and approach to observing information, recording this, and not judging personal attributes of people being observed.
  • A keen desire to promote and share good practices within the region and further across the organisation.
  • Ability to keep up to date with current legislation and local contractual information.
  • Ability to work with more senior managers and represent findings.
  • A passion for continuous improvement.
  • To attend events, when requested, and gather information to progress the quality of Walsingham Support.
  • Ability to schedule and plan own workload with guidance of line manager. Autonomous working is essential in this role.
